Quick-Attack Truck
1988  Chevrolet
This truck was used as our quick-attack truck for over 17 years and was first out the door for every call during that time. It went through multiple transmission and engine re-builds and was finally replaced last year, just about the time the engine went out.

It severely needed to be replaced with something lighter, newer, and more specialized for the duties it must perform (mainly grass/corn field fires). At the same time, with a new engine it could still perform some duties like being an additional truck for large grass fires or being the full-time race track vehicle, while would leave the new 188 in service during the races.
At this time, the truck is up and running and has been designated the number 187. It is currently being designated for race track duties and a second quick-attack truck for grass/corn field fires.

During the winter storms of Feburary '07, 187 was invaluable as a second Fire Department vehicle with four wheel drive.
